Uranium Discovery in Saskatchewan: Standard Uranium's Corvo Project Drill Results (2026)

Standard Uranium has confirmed the presence of uranium enrichment in all nine completed drill holes at the Corvo Uranium Project in northeastern Saskatchewan. The company's winter 2026 drill program, funded by Aventis Energy Inc., yielded significant findings, including:

  • Anomalous Uranium: All nine drill holes confirmed the presence of uranium, with multiple intervals of significant enrichment (>100-350 ppm U) in six holes. The calculated U:Th ratios >2:1 indicate hydrothermal uranium input.
  • Basement-Hosted System: Uranium mineralization is hosted within deformed and altered paragneiss, pegmatite, and granitoid orthogneiss units. Structural settings like hydrothermally altered fault zones and late quartz-carbonate veining suggest a hydrothermal uranium-fertile system.
  • Elevated Pathfinder Elements: Key uranium pathfinder elements like boron are present in anomalous quantities in multiple drill holes within the crystalline basement. Boron levels reached up to 13,600 ppm at 172.5 m in hole CRV-26-002.
  • Follow-Up Targets: Standard Uranium plans additional surface exploration and a second phase drilling program to follow up along strike of mineralized drill holes and test priority regional targets.

The results are highly encouraging, validating the company's exploration model and strengthening their confidence in the Project's potential. The discovery of uranium fertility across multiple target areas is a significant achievement, and Standard Uranium is optimistic about the prospects for shallow, high-grade basement-hosted uranium mineralization akin to the Rabbit Lake deposit.

The company's focus on exploration and development in the Athabasca Basin, including the Davidson River and Sun Dog projects, further underscores its commitment to finding the fuel for a clean energy future.
